Family Support and Secondary Transition Program to Present Resource and Transition Fair

The Carroll County Public Schools Family Support and Secondary Transition program will sponsor a Resource and Transition Fair for children age birth through 21 at Winters Mill High School in Westminster. The fair is being held with the support of the Special Education Citizens’ Advisory Council.

The fair will feature presentations on many topics, including:

Social/emotional regulation

IEP process

Communication beyond school

Inclusive higher education

Preventing pediatric injury

How to build independence

Dual enrollment

… Many more.

In addition, there will be approximately 50 exhibitors on hand to represent the many resources available in the county.

There will be no childcare for this event; however, children are encouraged to attend with their parents. Young adult children are encouraged to register for the presentations. Food will be available for purchase from food trucks.
